About the Author:

Ted Grant's outstanding reputation as a photojournalist and commercial photographer spans a career of 50 years. He learned photography by reading photo magazines and trying various methods outlined in their articles after his wife gave him his first camera in 1950. Influenced primarily by photographers of LIFE magazine, he adapted his style of working by available light. He has covered major news and sporting events and served as principal photographer for major political campaigns. Mr. Grant's books range from Men of the Saddle to This is Our Work. The Legacy of Sir William Osler. He is the only photographer to earn both the prestigious gold and silver medals for Photographic Excellence presented by the National Film Board of Canada. He continues to photograph for select clients, teach and lecture internationally. He recently received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Canadian Association of Photographers & Illustrators in Communications.
