About the Author:

Dana LaMon first became committed to excellence as a way of living when he was a teenager and his neighbor frequently quoted "Be the task great or small, Do it well or not at all." This commitment and standard led him to achievements that are remarkable for anybody but particularly notable for him given that he became blind when he was four years old. Despite this visual challenge, he graduated from Yale with a degree in math and from the University of Southern California with a law degree. Dana, who is African American, has served as an administrative law judge in California for twenty-six years and has conducted his professional speaking business for sixteen years. He shares life and dreams and four children with the poet Jacqueline Jones LaMon. Dana LaMon is the 1992 World Champion of Public Speaking. He has been inspiring, motivating, and entertaining people from all around the world since 1991. He has spoken on the subject of excellence to corporations, colleges, and professional associations.
