For many years, I worked in the retail sporting goods industry.  Every once in a while a customer would come in desperate for a book about taking a child fishing.  Unfortunately, such a book had yet to be written.  Eventually, I decided to fill the void.  Together with my good friend, Manny Luftglass, we combined our talents, his as an experienced fisherman for everything from sunfish to sharks, and mine as a writer of several novels.  The result was Gone Fishin' With Kids (How to Take Your Kid Fishing and Still be Friends).Contrary to what most folks think, this is NOT a book for kids.  It's a book for adults!  We take great satisfaction in knowing that, as a result of our efforts, the experience of fishing for many, many kids has been made even better by the fact that their significant adult figure read our book.

About the Author:

Joe Perrone Jr was a professional fly fishing guide/instructor in the Catskill Mountains for ten years, a sportswriter for the Herald Times in Passaic, New Jersey, an advertising copy writer, and is the author of four novels, including the Matt Davis Mystery Series, and Escaping Innocence (A Story of Awakening).  He is presently working on a fourth book in the series, Broken Promises, which will be published sometime in 2013.  The first three in the series are: As The Twig Is Bent, Opening Day, and Twice Bitten.  Opening Day was recently awarded a prestigious Indie B.R.A.G. Medallion for excellence in independent publishing.
Co-author Manny Luftglass has written five other books in his Gone Fishin' series. He writes the "Freshwater Fishing Report" every week for the NJ/Delaware Bay edition of the Fisherman Magazine and also contributes stories. Manny is popular on the lecture circuit in three states and specializes in teaching his double-anchor style of fishing.
