Curiously absent from this encyclopedic compilation is a trivia often debated by Allen's fans: "Is the title of What's Up Tiger Lily? written with or without a comma?" Another unfortunate note: Flashner sometimes uses the incorrect multiple-choice answers to create his own versions of Allen gags, something that Allen admirers may resent. An appendix lists Allen's films, books, records and plays; 61 black-and-white photographs not seen by PW.
