For those who are eager to see what the fuss is all about, this book is a great place to start. It provides a ton of information for both buyers and sellers, with tips on auction formats (reserve auctions, Dutch auctions, and so on), authentication, spotting and avoiding fraud, setting up your auction business, creating effective auction listings, dealing with deadbeat bidders, and much more. Of course, there are numerous plugs for AuctionWatch.com's services--"AuctionWatch.com Has More" reminders appear on every other page or so. And, while the prose occasionally gets cheesy ("fast-paced and rapid-fire information is what awaits you in these pages," states Prince), the book is otherwise exceptionally well written and organized, and is a valuable guide for serious online bidders and auctioneers.
