This writing ranks high on my "pride meter". Generally addressing industry audiences or editorializing, writing for children has been a tremendous challenge, thrill and more work than expected. Having read hundreds of books to my two children, I thought it a simple task but it was mostly humbling. The intent of the writing is to provide my children a story that touches on a series of lessons that have been important in my life (like being patient and working towards a goal). Having personally learned so much through little league baseball and other sports/activities, I think it's important to "grease the wheels" and get kids excited about participating in team sports - it's an exceptional venue for learning life lessons. Finally, as much as a book itself can entertain and educate children, the reader is incredibly critical. I hope more than anything this book offers parents, etc an opportunity to take images and story lines and add in their own "spin" and lessons and to allow the book to be a conversation starter with their children/listeners. 

About the Author:

Tyler Ross is a born and raised Virginian. He's father to two of the happiest kids on the planet and husband to the most patient woman alive. Tyler runs and operates several businesses (all with exceptional partners), he is improving his handstand and rarely travels but is often making plans. His mid-range jumper is average and his favorite food is, simply, food.Tyler has been featured in his own house as "Most Likely to Not Notice the Furniture Has Been Rearranged" and has been recognized as "Most Improved" in the "Do More Dishes" category three years running.
