About the Author:
Alison Becker Hurt grew up in New York City and was a working actor until moving into restaurant management, first at the Gotham Bar & Grill, then at Rakel, before opening Alison on Dominick Street in 1989, Alison by the Beach in 1996, and Alison in the Inn in 1999. She lives in Manhattan and Sag Harbor, Long Island, with her husband and young son.
