Book
223 pp. Octavo. Original blue cloth with gilt title on spine. illustrated endpapers. Old private ownership blind stamp on front endpaper. 31 colour illustrations. 4 maps. Original printed photographic dust jacket. Spine lightly faded. Slightly musty smell to text block. A previous owner has made numerous notations and underlinings in ink. Text block is otherwise clean. A somewhat biographical account of the two Hilary's lives and how they intertwined. The downside of the book are the underlinings etc that the previous owner has done. The interesting point is the owner seems to have been to the same places and his comments reflect this. The big positive is the book is signed by both Peter and Ed Hilary on the title page. The other very interesting element is the colour photograph tipped onto the half title showing both Hilary's signing this copy of the book! There is no indication of where this was done but its a great photo. Scarce with the two signatures and the interesting photo.
