Ex library imperial octavo hardcover (VG) in d/w (VG-); all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. Leatherette. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Two volumes in an illustrated card stock slipcase. Both volumes are dark blue leatherette, with gilt on covers and spines, and glued down front cover illustrations. Both volumes are in fine, as new condition, with "Mississippi River Folklore" in shrinkwrap. I removed and replaced the shrinkwrap on "Southern Folklore" to see the bibliographic details. ( It is now replaced, though the book is brighter without it) Slipcase in good condition is made of folded and illustrated cardstock which is flimsy and worn, and has been taped along the seams on the inside, with one piece of exterior tape. Both are valuable classic collections of southern folklore. Folklore, Anthropology, Southern USA, Mississippi River.
