First editions. Large folio and small folio, [1p.], pp-2-7, [1p.], [1p.], pp-2-8, masthead titles in purple, printed in 5 columns, illustrated throughout with b&w photos and line drawn cartoons. N.p. [London], [By the Author], April & May 1971. £200 Near fine, slight endemic browning of newsprint. Very rare in both institutions and commerce, two runs only on OCLC at the BL and Cambridge. A serial documenting the events and intentions behind a series of posters produced by ballet critic Richard Buckle. Much of the first issue is taken up with a meeting with Warhol in London and, with much name dropping, an annotated list of fellow attendees including David Hockney ('Kingdavid'), Factory director Paul Morrissey ('A tallman'), Margot Fonteyn ('A dancer') et al. The first page has a captioned photograph of Warhol's right hand signing something and Buckle's left hand on the left. Series 2 includes 'To Ringo: an Ode' a homoerotic rhyming paean to the drummer, thus to follow the previous line ending 'Bingo': 'Would be the sight of your cowlike innocent eyes half a pillow away, sublime, ridiculous Ringo'. 134321.
