Book First Edition
First edition. 9.5" x 6.25"; 172 pages. This book melds together text and visual imagery drawn from the stored contents of a Manhattan lockup. This singular and largely unpublished material had been retained there untouched since Clive Entwistle's death in 1976 at the age of 59. In 1960, following the inclusion of his work in the exhibition Visionary Architecture at MoMA, New York, Clive Entwistle relocated from Paris to Manhattan and remained there until his death, with intermittent periods in Tangier and London. This expansive collection of personal effects, largely spanning the final 16 years of his life.Clive Entwistle was a ennigmatic architect who was in Gurdjieff's circle in the 1940's. There are some references to Gurdjiief's work and influence on him in these notes. Cloth bound in flex-boards in fine condition with remainder dot to foot of page edges.
