The 5.5 y 7.5 inch softcover is 108 pages and in good condition The cover has some rubbing and creased cover and the inside pages are without marks. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the front and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the title page, dated 1976. Boorstin's bookplate is present on the inside cover. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1973, for his book, The Americans: The Democratic Experience. .
