In January 1916 a group of 114 men left Inverell, NSW to fight in the Great War. They were known as The Kurrajongs. In 2000, the Olympic Year, one of the men, Stanhope Callinan is still alive. His grandaughter and great-grandson visit him and discover details of his boyhood, The Kurrjong Train and the desire to volunteer, and his experiences in the trenches during the coldest winter in 40 years.
