About fine copy with a hint of handling in a very good dust jacket with some minor dust soiling and small chips and tears. Blanche Sweet (1896 - 1986) was a protege of the great silent film director D.W. Griffith who cast her in the roles of strong, confident women, thus distinguishing her from most of her peers. Some of her more memorable films include the first Anna Christie in 1923, Judith of Bethulia (1914), The Unpardonable Sin (1919), Tess of the DÕUrbervilles (1924), and BluebeardÕs Seven Wives (1925).
