Top and side page edges are tanning. Has a mylar cover taped over the dust jacket, which in turn leaves a mark from the tape on the endpapers. Very minimal edgewear to the dust jacket.

Inscription reads "To Miss Adele Koch with greetings and wishing you a Merry Christmas from Lisa Goetz (Daughter of Chaflain Goetz) and with greetings from the author, Jesse Stuart, Christmas, 1970." it goes on "Lisa's father Chaflain Goetz is in this book.
