Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 2nd Edition. "Anticipations" is an anthology of original science fiction stories by 8 illustrious authors: 5 British and 3 American. This copy is the first US edition, which has the same boards and jacket as the Faber UK first edition since it was also printed by Faber. It has been FLAT SIGNED (no inscription) by US writer Robert Sheckley on the title page of his story "Is That What People Do?", which was first published in this anthology. The book is near fine, marred only by very light bumps at heel and corners, plus a touch of dust toning on top of text block. The binding is tight and square. The boards are unmarked, with bright gilt titles on the spine. The pages are unmarked. Not a remainder. The unclipped dust jacket, now protected in a removable mylar cover, is also in near fine condition: bright, whole, and unmarked, with a trace of wear at top of spine. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description. Signed by Author(s).
