Unobtrusive abrasions to edges of boards, slight browning to edges, some corners turned. Good only in slightly frayed dust-wrapper. A selection of pages from Charles Tunnicliffe's many sketchbooks in which he recorded his observations of birds in the field from 1932-1962. Something of a retrospective, this was the last book of Tunnicliffe's which was prepared for publication with his co-operation. Sections are divided so: Introduction by Ian Niall; Location notes to the sketches; Seabirds; Waders; Geese, ducks and swans; Birds of prey; Miscellaneous birds.
