(The writer could have done with an editor.) The central figure is Benjamin Franklin Young (and his wife Annie Ellen Mackin Young) who came to the Cache Creek area as a young man in 1870. (He has Lincoln and Civil War ties in his native U.S.) They established a ranch near Enderby in 1903. Their hard work and social class soon made them historic figures in British Columbia.
