Hardcover. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. Second Edition. 52 pp., illus. Still shrinkwrapped. Three years after his retrospective, "Moving Out", Robert Frank moves on. This book is published upon the occasion of the 1996 Hasselblad Award given to this ground-breaking American artist. Since 1994 his life has unfolded more truths and tragedies, and with this work he delves deeper to reveal new radical images. Containing work such as colour collages made in 1996, new sequential images such as "Memorial", "Today is My Daughter's Birthday", "North East South West" and the "Crows" triptych, this book should be of interest to all photography and art collectors. Featuring various fold-outs which reveal connections between the old and new photographs, the book illustrates how experimental, yet consistently true Frank's work is. 3931141551 Tall, Narrow 8vo Exhibition Catalogue.

Cloth Spine Over Boards, Boxed. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition 1/1500. 60pp + 48pp, profusely illustrated in b&w. Text in German with English translations laid in. This unusual title is actually two separate exhibition catalogues in the form of artists' books - Lewis Baltz's "Die Toten Von Newport Beach" ("The Deaths in Newport"), and Slavica Perkovic's "Seche Geschichten Fur Vier Manner" ("Six Stories for Four Men") - housed in a printed chipboard box. Each is illustrated with photographs and text - in Baltz's case, the photos all appear to be found images relating to a murder and trial in California in the 1940s. A most handsome example of this unusual collaborative undertaking in the publisher's printed chipboard box, as issued. Photography Monographs.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket Issued. Gilles Peress (illustrator). 1st Edition. This book is the harrowing account of genocide by Eric Stover, with photographs by Gilles Peress, of how-- from a hell of mud and decomposing bodies-- investigator Haglund began to piece together victims' identities and the terrible ways they died. Over 40,000 Muslim refugees were living in and around Srebenica when it fell to the Serbs, under General Ratko Mladic in July 1995. Of the men who fled, or were rounded up by Serb troops, many were never seen again. Stover talks to the surviving families, women and children, including the women of Srebrenica still clinging to the hope that their men are alive-- even as Haglund's investigations prove otherwise. Mladic has since been charged with crimes of genocide, but Stover identifies a lack of political will to arrest the criminals and bring them to trial. Inscribed by Eric Stover. Small erasure mark at top corner of first page, else near fine. Signed by Author(s). Book.
