DVD-Video. Condition: new. DVD-Video. This DVD features major video works by Marcus Coates and an interview with Tracey Warr about the ideas and processes that inform his work. The accompanying illustrated leaflet includes an essay by Max Andrews. Marcus Coates' practice has continually questioned the ways in which we relate to other species. His work often documents his dark and humorous attempts to connect with, or become, an animal. His film/performance process aims to re-present definitions of humanness through the investigation of cross species consciousness. More recently this has led him to engage with communities, often to seek resolutions to social issues through shamanic ritual. This DVD includes Coates' well known piece, "Dawn Chorus." Coates has exhibited nationally and internationally and he was included in the British Art Show 6. This work is published as part of "In Profile", a series of monographic DVD publications on contemporary artists working with film and video. Features video works by Marcus Coates and an interview with Tracey Warr about the ideas and processes that inform his work. The accompanying illustrated leaflet includes an essay by Max Andrews. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
