Facsimile ed. Hardback small quarto, very good condition, pictorial cover, colour pop-up drawings, corners bumped, tiny scuff front cover, spine & bottom edge covers lightly faded, spine little slack (pages firm), spine little creased. 4 pp. This pop-up children's book, originally published in 1878 by J. F. Schreiber of Esslingen in Germany, contains four scenes on stage: one from Little Red Riding Hood, one from Hansel and Gretel, one showing the nativity scene, and the final one with a family around the tree on Christmas Eve. All four pictures have all their parts in place which is unusual for a pop-up book. A charming children's picture book that can be acted out with family and friends.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Jacket by Russell D. Butcher (illustrator). 1st Edition. First published in the USA in 1944, this is a first edition, first impression with full number line of the new edition, of 1978. Edge wear, chipping and short closed tears to top and bottom of jacket and spine, corners rubbed and bruised, folds slightly rubbed. spine slightly faded. Not price clipped (£2.95, $6.95), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and squareish, overall a well read, vg copy. 197pp. Movie stunt rider, naval aviator, film researcher and author Charles Longstreth McNichols (1895-1976), was raised on eleven Indian Reservations in Arizona, Indian Territory, South Dakota, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Minnesota where his father was a Special Agent for the U.S. Department of the Interior. He tells the story of a fourteen year old's life, intertwined with his Mojave Indian friend when he runs away from home and responsibility.
