The Mica Press prints selected work by individual authors in limited editions. Anne Sheldon lives in Silver Spring, Maryland. A retired librarian she teaches storytelling at the University of Maryland, and works as a poet-in-the-schools. Anne's poems have been published in numerous books and journals including The Poet's Grimm, The Dark Horse, Weird Tales, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, and Antietam Review. Her Lancastrian Letters is a series of epistolary poems from the 15th century. [An earlier version of the two monologues by Catherine of Valois published separately in this collection appeared in Poet Lore, Summer, 1992.] The author dedicated this work to the memory of her mother Marian Newberry Sheldon, 1905-1986, who told he the real story of Anne Boleyn. Historically, an Anne Shelton née Boleyn (28 November 1475 - 8 January 1556) was the elder sister of Thomas Boleyn, 1st Earl of Wiltshire, and an aunt of his daughter, Queen Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII.
