Hard. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Printing (?). This book contains a very detailed treatise on the development of the bomber along with an account of this notorious bombing raid. Of the many bombing raids of World War II, few have gained such notoriety as that executed February 1945 when the German city of Dresden was heavily damaged by American and British bombers. Controversy remains over why Dresden was selected as a target. One thing is clear; however, the bombing of Dresden among other German Cities went a long way in breaking the resolve of the German citizenry. Contains b/w photos and illustrations and appendices. Book would be described in as new condition excepting for the dogear fold on page 121; dj is in very fine condition with only slight scuffing; dj not price clipped and encased in acid free Brodart book protector. Size: 8 Vo. Book.

8vo; pp. 380; b/w. photograph illustrations; maps and plans; dustjacket; a good copy. Translated from the original German'.und Gott Lenkt' by Ulrich Steinhilper & Eugen Geiger. Edited by Carol Osborne David Hough & Bill Osborne. Full Circle is the concluding part Ulrich Steinhilper's remarkable story. Having escaped from custody three times he was still determined to use all and every means to get back to Germany. Along with his colleagues, more escapers were planned and other schemes hatched. Then, against the advice of all, he embarked upon a final desperate attempt which he was later to describe as the worst mistake he ever made. Again the story is told from an original manuscript, hand written at the time.
