An edition combining 3 fine religious poems of the fourteenth century, as well as the more famous romance from the same period. "Pearl" and "Gwain" were published in Everyman in 1962, with the other two poems being added to the 1976 edition. This 1978 version is a reprinting of that edition, with minor corrections. Helpful marginal glosses and footnote paraphrases make the text more accessible to the general reader.
