Theatre play, for a cast of thirteen. Original publisher's cloth binding in green with gilt lettering at spine. Inner Journey was on stage in Hamburg, Germany with the title 'Fr Immer und Ewig' in September 1966, as well as New York's Lincoln Center for a month in 1969. HanleyÕs protagonists tend to be solitary figures and his concern is with loneliness rootlessness, violence and madness. James (Joseph) Hanley (1897Ð1985) was a British novelist, short story writer, and playwright from Kirkdale, Liverpool, Lancashire, of Irish descent. Very good indeed in very good dust jacket. Dust jacket slight edgewear but protected by a clear sleeve. Signedes.
