Colonel Billy Bishop, who ranked fourth among the aces of that war. Enlisting as an infantryman, he soon transferred to the Royal Flying Corps and rapidly proved his skill and daring in the air. hardcover, 5¾" x 8¾", with dust jacket 180 pages Twenty-seven pages of b&w photographs, 5-page bibliography. What conjuring has consisted of, a little of how it has been done, and a great deal about the men who did it are all part of this book. The last chapters are for those who want to perform themselves; in addition to simple tricks, made simpler with the help of photographs, there are many hints about some equally important facets of conjuring - acting, misdirection and preparation. Ours is an ex-library copy in transparent protective covering, with usual stickers, barcode, etc. tape stains to front flyleaf. VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket.
