Stapled to the inside rear cover is a small plastic bag, containing the following: a small, accordian-style folding pamphlet entitled "For Jasper Johns whose aristocratic nuances of grey, black and white put him in the company of Velasquez and Manet, this garland of thoughts was collected in homage by Ellen H. Johnson". This book with the "garland of thoughts, was published on the occasion of the exhibition "Jasper Johns Drawings" which was organized by the Arts Council of Great Britain in 1974. The ephemeral inclusion, which is missing in most all copies, includes ten Jasper Johns numerals and several quotations on art.
