Covers good, bumped to corners and worn to spine ends, with some marks to the boards. Binding secure. Interiors fine, tanned with some spotting, except for short tears and creases to the lower edge of the list of Illustrations. This presents a first hand account of the pioneer days of the Arabian Mission, which sought to evangelize the Peninsula from stations on the Gulf coast. It covers journeys in Aden, the Red Sea coast to Makallah, Sana'a, Muscat, Bahrain, Al Hassa, and Mesopotamia including Baghdad and a description of the Ottoman Turks in Basrah. Photos show Arabian scenes, Bahraini and Omani royalty, and local people.
