Cloth. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. N.C. Wyeth (illustrator). An early reprint of the original 1921 edition. A good sound copy, with noted flaws. Only 8 of the N.C. Wyeth illustrations are present, and 8 pages in the beginning have an old stain outline at the side edge. Front and rear endpage hinges are perfect, but title page gutter has a narrow crack. The pages and endpages are clean and unmarked, and the Wyeth are bright and well-preserved. The facing page to title page has some foxspots, but otherwise free of foxing. Attractive vintage pegasus bookplate on front pastedown. Bright covers, with horizontal scratch to front inset, and mild rubbing to tips and ends. Still attractive overall!.
