Hardback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. ISLANDS IN DANGER The Story of the German Occupation of the Channel Islands. Alan and Mary Wood. Evans Brothers, London 1955 First edition 256pp Illustrated Hardback. This copy is bound in publisher's original blue cloth with titling to the spine which is sunned. There is some adherence of a label to the front paste down, a dust wrapper is not present. Written in 1955, this is probably the first attempt at an official history of the German Occupation of the Channel Islands. Well written and detailed it is still one of the best books on the subject. This first edition contains all the original illustrations many of which were omitted from subsequent paperback editions. Ref EE2.
