Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Small split at the top of the spine that measures about 1 3/4," slight internal rusting from the staples, and a few pages have come loose from the binding (but are still attached to other pages). Several pages unopened. A fine copy. The October 1909 issue (Volume XVIII, Number Four) of the Coast magazine, a regional magazine of the Pacific Northwest. The magazine featured a variety of subjects including short fiction, poetry, news articles, and local stories. The two main stories as advertised on front are President Taft's visit to Seattle and the last days of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacifc (A-Y-P) Exposition. The following are the titles of some of the articles and features in this issue: "Our President," "President Taft's Address" [reprint of the president's address at the A-Y-P Exposition], "Ode to Irrigation" [poem], "President Taft in Seattle," "Our Ponderous Government," "The Closing of the A.-Y.-P.
