Cranch was a follower and friend of Dr. Mayhew, he devoted a great deal of his life to theological pursuits while also being a member of the General Assembly and a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. According to a footnote Mary Cranch's eldest sister "is the lady of the late President Adams and the youngest is now married to the Rev. Mr. Peabody of Atkinson in New Hampshire." and that her mother was the daughter of the Hon. John Quincy. The Cranch daughters married the Rev. Jacob Norton and John Greenleaf while the son was a lawyer, "supreme judge of the District Court of Columbia and reporter of cases in the Federal Court of the United States". Sabin 103772 Disbound, some marginal browning and spotting, some creasing, else a very good copy.
