Illustrated with 84 black and white captioned photos, most of various racing drivers, as well as several of spectacular car wrecks during races, but also one of the author, one of the main photographer, Walter Chernokal, and one of Norman Grant, whose accumulated racing file the author consulted. Stapled booklet in black and white photo pictorial wrappers printed in black and with an official photo from the Indianapolis Speedway of cars racing wrapped around both front and rear. Born in PPhiladelphia ca. 1930, Earl Watson was a journalist who compiled his racing columns into the first edition of "Champions All." mA graduate of the Temple University School of Journalism, Watson was on the editorial staff of the North Penn Reporter, Lansdale daily, where his column "Around the Circle" appears as a regular feature. From 1949 on Watson was associated with the public relations force at Hatfield Speedway, Hatfield, PA, where he made his home. [info from inside the front wrapper] A native of Lansdale, PA, Norman Grant, whose exhaustive racing file was used by Watson, was a dyed-in-the-wool racing fan. Walter Chernokal was staff photographer for the Chester, PA Times who earned internal acclaim for his racing actions shots. Chernokal won 25 photo prizes in the Checkered Flag Photo Contests during the period, 1952-1957.
