Book First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition (First published 1991). Signed and inscribed by co-author Jean Wright ('Hope you enjoy it!, Best wishes, Jean Wright, Dec 1991.'). I was unable to find any other signed copy of this book for sale anywhere on the Internet. To get a sense of the book here is something from the front flap: 'From the abstract sculpture of modern architecture to the rambling wide-verandahed house in the tropical north, from collections of the objets d'art to nuggety objets de bush, from urbane chic to beach casual, Australian Style will delight with the rich variety of images that have sprung from this strange and exhilarating land.' You can see the book's covers in the photographs provided. Note that the book is wider than my scanner surface. The covers are spotless. They have very little wear, a little scuffing at the corners and crinkling at the bottom of the spine. The interior of the book is in very good condition. It is solidly bound. I didn't see any soiling anywhere. The inside covers and end papers are a very interesting abstract design. I would note that there is very slight waviness extending about 1/2 inch off the middle edge of the back of the pages. It doesn't impact anything or stand out. I would also note that, as you can see in the photograph, there is a penned Christmas gift inscription/note from one friend to another on the same page as the co-author's signed inscription. There is no other extraneous writing anywhere in the book. There aren't any markings or attachments. And I didn't see any creasing or dogeared corners. The dust jacket is rated Very Good. You can see it in the first couple of photographs. There is a tiny scuff/peel on the front cover. There's also a small tear off the top edge of the front cover. And there's a spot of rub-through at the tip top of the front middle edge. Lastly, there are a few tiny corner creases. The jacket is Not clipped and will be fitted with a protective cover. Jean Wright is described as the 'Design Editor of Belle magazine and one of Sydney's leading design journalists and photographic stylists'. Inscribed by Author(s).
