SCARCE FIRST EDITION in decorated blue cloth, pictorial endpapers, frontis. and 29 photos (listed), 304pp. O'Keefe #2465. Very Good with some fading to spine; hinges excellent. A history on the Crow Indians and their chief. Plenty Coups and his warriors were instrumental in saving General Crook's command at the Battle of the Rosebud. A nice collectible copy of a scarce title.

Second printing, hard cover, has tiny lean to spine, slight bumps to spine ends and board corners, faint rubbing with a few tiny specks of soiling, and a very slight touch of waving to text block near binding without any indication of moisture, otherwise a solid, bright VG copy in Near VG dust jacket which is price clipped, has light bumps with shallow chips to spine ends and corners, light sunning to spine with a touch to upper edge of panels, slight shelfwear to edges, and faint rubbing.

First edition. 304pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Bright blue cloth with bright, elaborate red, orange and yellow ink stamped designs on the front cover. Illustrated endsheets. There is a slight roll to the spine, else very attractive. In the dust jacket, printed with the Caxton titles on the reverse, with prominent fading to the spine (title still very legible). There is a 1/4 inch loss from the paper at the head of the spine, and a small open tear in the paper at the head of the spine has been covered with tape. Illustrations include Glimpse of Mountain Crow village on the Yellowstone, Chief Plenty Coups and White Eagle, A Crow Meercotty, and more.
