Soft cover. Condition: Very Good -. Some B/W Photos (illustrator). Not Indicated. Pages tanned, cover lightly soiled, otherwise in nice condition. This 166 page book written between 1960-1970 by retired executive John E, McLeod, is a condensation of the history of the Great Northern Paper Company in Maine. This company was founded in 1897 and over the next several years became a huge conglomerate in New England by consolidating several smaller paper mills. There is a brief history of the invention of paper, its different kinds, locations of production, and the boom in the colonies in the early 1700s. The text continues to relate the history of paper making in the US over the next two centuries. Contains several black and white photos.

With relations between the races in the United States strained, it is important that the country, particularly the South, know what the Afro-American really wants. Believing that statements from leading blacks might throw light on this question, the publisher asked that this book be written with the stipulation that equal representation be given to conservative, liberal, and radical opinion and that the contributors not go to extremes that they could not justify- publisher.
