Light edge wear only. The contents remain unmarked with a Masonic designed bookplate "Masonic Lodge No. 6, A.F. and A.M., Marion, Iowa" affixed to the front pastedown and their embossed stamp on the title page. A very nice copy.

No owner's name or bookplate. No underlining. No highlighting. No margin notes. Offset on front endpaper (minor browning, perhaps from a newspaper clipping previously laid-in). All other pages are, clean, fresh and crisp. Bound in the original bluish-green cloth. Gilt lettering on the spine is still bright and shiny. No date appears on the title or copyright page. The year of publication we list, 1921, is an estimate based on internet research. There is but a single copy of the book described by the British Library online catalogue. That description says [1932]; but the first edition of the book must have been published earlier. The August 1923 issue of THE BUILDER mentions THE STORY OF THE CRAFT in the introduction to an article by Bro. Vibert. . First Edition (No Additional Printings). Hard Cover.
