First editions, in the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrappers. 'Yesterday's Town' is in a smart, 'faux' leather binding. Written by Tom Middleton, who was editor of the Maidenhead Advertiser from 1947 and wrote three works on the area. This set is comprised of 'The Book of Maidenhead' (1975) and 'Yesterday's Town: Maidenhead' (1980). Both works are highly illustrated with many photographs to accompany descriptions of the area, of events and of local figures. In the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, lovely, with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper's are excellent, with light edge wear and a touch of sunning to the extremities and to the spine. Small closed tear to the head of the spine on 'Yesterday's Town' wrap. The odd small mark to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Fine. book.
