Good condition, hardcover, no dust jacket. tan boards with a black cloth spine. Black title and illustration on the front (a dashing "Don" on a rearing horse), and a printed spine label with author and title. Boards very lightly soiled, corners are worn and rubbed, spine barely cocked (slanted). Pages are tanned, opened too wide in a few places, and cracked behind the second blank page in the front. But still firmly bound, clean and bright, no tears or creases, no markings. History of a remarkable part of California with over 100 charming little illustrations by Jo Mora.
