The squadron flew S.E. 5s in WWI shooting down over 200 German aircraft in the final 8 months of WWI. They were disbanded after the war and reactivated in 1935. The 74 Squadron flew Spitfires and Hurricanes in the Battle of Britain and later in the Normandy Campaign. The squadron was again disbanded in 1969. After the book was printed the squadron was active from 1984 to 2000 flying F-4 Phantoms and then T-1s as a Training Squadron. Very good copy of the first edition in a very good dust jacket. The dust jacket's spine a slightly sun faded. 230 pages.
