(24 cm.) 180p. Frontispiece black and white captioned photo plus 46 other black and white (and some colored) captioned photos throughout and numerous black and white drawings showing technical aspects of motor car upholstering. Index. Blue ribbed cloth with gilt letters on the front cover and the spine and with a vignette in gilt on the front cover of the logo of the HJirst-Roger Company. Very minor wear to the extremities with a couple of corners just barely rubbed through, top and bottom of spine slightly rubbed, covers slightly soiled, all gilt bright (!), all photos in fine condition, previous owner's pencil signature on front free endpaper (A.F. Peterson Missoula Mont), one double page loose because it was never caught in the sewing but remains undamaged, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. No dust jacket (if it ever had one). Established in 1884 in Philadelphia, the Hirst-Roiger Company produced carpet woven especially for automobiles. Their slogan was "Distinctive, Dependable, Non-Shrinkable, Fast Colors."
