ITEM #1: SEEING NEW ORLEANS. THE GRAY LINE. Pamphlet with folded dimensions H 23.2cm x L 9.6cm. Double-sided single sheet unfolds to eight panels per side, i.e. sixteen total, for full dimensions H 44.9cm x L 38cm. Light gray paper with limited color printing in orange, brown, and blue. Mostly b/w illustrations. Undated but does provide Toye Bros. Yellow Cab service as "Pioneers Nearly 100 Years Since 1852" so presumably printed circa 1950 or so. Some surface scuffing to rear cover as well as small chips and surface scuffing along left spine fold of front and rear covers but otherwise quite clean. A good+ copy. Provides information and fare prices (from $2 to $5) for six Gray Line tours in and around New Orleans including the French Quarter, Uptown, the Garden District, Lakefront, etc. as well as far out as Chalmette, and Jefferson Parish and St. Bernard Parish. ITEM #2: ROTHSCHILD'S ANTIQUES, NEW ORLEANS, LA. Single sheet of stiff toned paper folded to form 4 pages. H 14cm x L 8.75cm. Front cover with color illustration of company sign - 229 and 241 Rue Royal, New Orleans; rear cover with b/w storefront illustration apparently drawn by C.M. Luria. Item is undated but presumably is contemporary to the Gray Line pamphlet. Features recipe for Cafe Brulot in page 2 with opposing page 3 lined for one's Memo (unmarked). A very good- copy. Rothschild's Antiques remains in business today but at 321 Royal.
