THE BOARDS ARE RUBBED AND WORN WITH BUMPING ALONG THE EDGES AND CORNERS. THE SPINE IS HEAVILY WORN WITH SOME FADING TO THE GILT DESIGN. BOTH ENDS OF THE SPINE ARE BUMPED, WITH SOME SMALL TEARS AT THE BOTTOM. THE BINDING IS FIRM. THE PAGE ENDS OF BOOK ARE MIRRORED PATTERN OF FFEP. THERE IS FOXING TO THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE BOOK. PAGES GENERALLY APPEAR CLEAN AND CREASE FREE. ALL IN ALL A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS BOOK.

'The Twenty Third edition' and 'The Three and Twentieth Edition". A very good full calf leather hardback with rebacked boards with gilt borders. More recent leather spine with raised bands, gilt decoration and red morocco label with gilt title. Wear to label edge. Covers scuffed and bumped with wear to edges and small loss to rear top corner. Front blank endpaper partially detached. Cracked front inner hinge, but soundly bound. Text is in very good condition throughout. Bright and clean with images presenting well. A nice example of an 18th century text. Text in English.
