The contents date from December 1791 through to Hamilton's death in the duel with Aaron Burr in October, 1804. The final two volumes also contain additional matter, as follows: Vol. XXVI: Additional documents 1774-1799, addenda and errata; Vol. XXVII: Additional letters 1777-1802, addenda and errata, and cumulative index Vols. The final 18 volumes of the Hamilton Papers, all virtually unread, with the texts in fine condition.
