VG in VG DJ Stephen Young's ordeal is one of the most dramatic stories to unfold during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Gunner Young and others tried to man their battle stations on the Oklahoma but the ship was hit by five torpedoes and began to sink. They were ordered to remain below in the turret and were trapped when the ship overturned.
