Issued in conjunction with 1987-1988 exhibitions held in Wilkes-Barre, PA: Sordoni Art Gallery, Wilkes College, May 3 to June 14, 1987, three other locations. The exhibition features selected works of American realist painter George Luks (1867-1933). With three essays by Stanley L. Cuba, Judith O'Toole, and Nina Kasanof with 185 notes and an exhibition checklist of 32 oils and 30 works on paper. A very nice catalogue that takes a look beyond the clown pictures and illustrates some of his landscapes and portraiture. Very well illustrated. VG+ slight writing on title-page at top.
