Collection of seven vintage studio still photographs from the 1979 film. Based on the 1976 novel by Ann Beattie. Photographs have been hand-retouched, adhered to a backing board, and prepared for use in advertising. A stark portrait depicting the difficulty of life in the aftermath of the turbulent 1960s. The protagonist Charlie (played by John Heard) falls in love with the newly-separated Laura (played by Mary Beth Hurt) who then returns to her husband, while Charlie simultaneously attempts to deal with the various members of his family. Charlie cannot seem to let go of his obsession, and begins to stalk Laura in an attempt to win her back. Shot on location in Salt Lake City, Utah. Released in 1979 as "Head Over Heels" as seen here, it was re-released in 1982 and given a markedly more downbeat ending, to a better audience reception. Photos 8 x 10 inches on 10 x 15 inch mat board with now-toned tissue overlay, save one mat board with two 7 x 5 inch images. Very Good plus to Near Fine.

Collection of five vintage studio still photographs and one reference photograph from the 1975 film. Based on the 1896 novella "Yekl: A Tale of the New York Ghetto" by Abraham Cahan. The tale of a Russian Jewish man's immigration to America, where he has settled on the Lower East Side. Though he is raising money to send for his wife and son to travel from their homeland, he falls in love with a dancer. An accurate depiction of the Jewish immigrant experience at the turn of the twentieth century, including the degradation of traditions and assimilation into American culture. Set in New York, shot on location there. Five photographs 10 x 8 inches, one photograph 7.25 x 10 inches. Generally Very Good plus, with light edgewear and some light toning on three photographs.

Based on Susan Sandler's 1985 play, about a young bookstore clerk's attempts to conceal her lower-class Jewish upbringing in order to succeed in the literary world. Set and shot on location in Manhattan. Black generic card wrappers. Title page present, dated January, 1987, with credits for screenwriter Susan Sandler and director Joan Micklin Silver. 120 leaves, with last page of text numbered 119. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Good only, with moderate loss on the rear wrapper, bound internally with a silver prong.
