    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. First impression of the true first edition, published in 1931. This edition is limited to seven hundred and fifty-four copies, four of which are on mould-made paper No. 83. Profusely illustrated throughout with 16 black and white plates, including a tissue-guarded portrait frontispiece of The Rev. C. L. Dodgson, from Herkomer's (posthumous) portrait in Christ Church Hall, Oxford, made in 1899. ***Very good in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. The gilt is slightly faded. Head and tail of spine and edges of boards slightly worn and faded. Corners of boards are sharp. No internal inscriptions. No foxing. Pages clean. Please note that some of the pages remain uncut. Spine tight. No dustwrapper. 336 pages including two indexes to the rear - Index I (General) and Index II - First words and (in italics) titles of Minor Literary Carrolliana (chiefly verse). 227 mm x 150 mm. ***Contents: Preface, Introductory Notes, Method of description, Addenda and Corrigenda, PART I.
