This is a special, un-circulated library book without tears or soil within but it is a special copy presented by the MSPCA and the AHES to the Massachusetts middle school libraries in 1998 to commemorate the 130t anniversary of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the American Humane Education Society. There is a second commemorative plate adhered to the free endpaper signed by the pres of the ASPCA Hinge papers are fine, pages are bright white and loaded with illustrations. Original, un-clipped color illustrated dust wrapper in new mylar has a micro dot of color loss at head of spine and features a gorgeous color illustration by Lucy Kemp-Welch of Black Beauty and Ginger in double harness.
