Hardcover. Condition: VG+. Dust Jacket Condition: VG+. Photos (illustrator). 1st. Keith Severinsen established his name as a respected and popular author of hunting books with his first two titles, "Hunter Climb High" and "Hunt The Far Mountain", both of which were based mainly on his experiences, adventures and anecdoes about deer stalking in New Zealand. For ".Wild Blue Yonder" he took a different approach with the first stories set in NZ, while part two, the main section, details a hunting expedition for big game in Afica. A shorter final selection deals with reflections re-visiting favourite hunting spots back in NZ. And just to add spice to variety he ends ".Blue Yonder" with a bear hunt and tracking down the "biggest moose" north of the Yukon. Highlighted in the book are the differences to hunting in NZ, to big game animals in the vast expanses of Africa and the near Arctic regions of North America. Another classic for the hunter's bookshelf. First edition from David Bateman of 1990, 173 pages, illustrated with the author's own photographs, 17 in colour, 17 b/w. Blue hard covers with gilt spine titles are VG+ with hint wear spine base, text block VG+ with few light smudges to page 152, no inscriptions. Colour pictorial DJ is VG+.
